Devin A.C. Dadah is an Iraqi-American Muslim young adult, poet, podcaster, orator, and historian in training. Growing up, Devin would awaken to the sounds of his grandfather, the legendary Iraqi musician, Saadoun Al-Bayati, playing an Arabic instrument called the oud. He was very much around the culture of Sufi-Islamic ritual, dance and song. Eventually he would go on to graduate as team captain of his high school's soccer team and Valedictorian at the age of seventeen. A month after graduation, Devin started The Bayat Beat podcast, a political commentary on society and culture mainly focused on the United States.

Devin is a life-long student in the realms of colonization, post-colonial societies, U.S. imperialism, modern military history, Islamic theology, and the secular Arab world. He studies these subjects at the University of California, Berkeley (UCB) where he also serves on the Phi Alpha Theta (National History Honors Society) leadership council for its UCB Chapter, is an editor for the UCB Comparative Literature Undergraduate Journal, and serves on the student leadership team for the Arts & Humanities Dean's Office.
